Heyward W. Freeman

Mr. Heyward W. Freeman, age 82, entered into rest on Tuesday, December 8, 2020. Graveside services will be 2:00 PM Thursday, December 10, 2020 at Pine Grove Baptist Church Cemetery by Mr. James Phillips. The family will greet friends following the service at the cemetery.

Mr. Freeman was born May 30, 1938 in Chesterfield, SC a son of the late Rue and Madge White Freeman. He was a retired employee of Delta Mills with over 30 years of service and a member of Pine Grove Baptist Church. Mr. Freeman enjoyed fishing and working in his garden, growing vegetables.

In addition to his parents, Heyward was also preceded in death by 2 sisters, Edith Frasier and Ruby Nell Teal.

Survivors include his wife of 49 years, Betty Talent Freeman of the home; sons, Wayne Freeman of Chesterfield, SC, and Tony Freeman of Wallace, SC; grandchildren, Arionna Freeman, Olivia Freeman, Amber Freeman, Brianna Freeman, and Aaron Freeman; great grandchildren, Liliana and Greyson; brothers, Ronnie (Betty) Freeman, and Vayden (Betty) Freeman both of Chesterfield, SC; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Memorials may be made to St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital, 262 Danny Thomas Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
