FUNERAL SERVICE: 3:00 PM, Sunday, March 16, 2008 at Westside Baptist Church

INTERMENT: will follow in Chatham Hill Memorial Gardens

VISITATION: 5:00 - 7:00 PM, Saturday at Miller-Rivers-Caulder Funeral Home

HISTORY: Mr. Boan was born in Cheraw, SC a son of the late Ira Walker Boan, Sr. and Mattie Lou Board Boan. He was a graduate of Cheraw High School and a retired sales manager with American Bakeries. Mr. Boan was a lifelong, faithful, member of Westside Baptist Church. He was a U.S. Army Veteran of WWII and member of the American Legion Post 74. Howard was preceded in death by his wife of 64 years, Sarah Phillips Boan, his brothers, Ira W. Boan, Jr. and Paul J. Boan, and by a sister, Edell Boan Polson.

1 Son: H. Walker Boan and wife Mary of Inman, SC
1 Daughter: Diane Boan-Donaldson and husband James B. Donaldson of Phoenix, AZ
Grandchildren: Beth Boan O'Neal and husband Jimmy of Cheraw, SC, James Walker Donaldson of Chapel Hill, NC
Great Grandchildren: Richard, Alex, and Jacob Evans of Cheraw, SC
1 Sister: Mary Lou Boan (Bill) Jacobs of Cheraw, SC
Sisters-in-law: Dorothy P. Zearfoss and Edith P. Martin and husband Fay of Chesterfield SC
