Irma Dutton Rivers

          Mrs. Irma Dutton Rivers, age 79, entered into eternal rest on Friday, July 28, 2023. Funeral services will be 7:00 PM Sunday, July 30, 2023 from the Chapel of Miller-Rivers-Caulder Funeral Home by Reverend Tony Brewer. The family will receive friends from 6:00 – 7:00 PM Sunday, prior to the service at the funeral home.

          Mrs. Rivers was born August 21, 1943 in Mt. Croghan, SC a daughter of the late Woodrow and Lucy Katie Rivers Dutton. She was a talented seamstress, dedicated homemaker, and member of White Plains Baptist Church. Irma was an avid reader and enjoyed working in her yard and flowers, and playing Dr. Mario continuously.

          In addition to her parents, Mrs. Rivers was also preceded in death by her siblings, Harry Dutton, J.T. Dutton, Ronnie Dutton, Graylon Dutton, Hugh Dutton, Barbara McClamrock, and Kathy Faulkenberry.

          Survivors include her son, James Calvin Rivers of Bennettsville, SC; daughter, Phyllis Rivers Deese of Jefferson, SC; grandchildren, Mallory Deese of Jefferson, SC, Joshua Deese of Charleston, SC, and Jessica Restivo Crawford of Jefferson, SC; great grandchildren, Renesmee Deese, and Isadora Deese; brother, Mitchell (Cynthia) Dutton of Wadesboro, NC; sisters-in-law, Pat Dutton, Dean Dutton, Juanita Dutton, and Linda Dutton; in addition to numerous nieces and nephews.
