INTERMENT: will follow in the Twin Pines Freewill Baptist Church Cemetery, Jefferson, SC

VISITATION: is 2:00 - 3:00 PM, Sunday, January 26, 2014 prior to the service at the funeral home

HISTORY: Mr. Strickland was born October 2, 1936 in Glennville, GA, a son of the late William Jeff and Ophelia Dubberly Strickland. He was a retired meat cutter with Harris Teeter. Gene enjoyed cutting wood, fishing, processing deer, and raising hogs. In addition to his parents, Gene was also preceded in death by his wife, Dorothy "Dot" Williamson Strickland, a son-in-law Jerry Lee Brock, 2 brothers C.L. and Buster Strickland and by 2 sisters Lillie Mae Cade and Arlene Evans

1 Half-Brother: James Strickland
2 Half-Sisters: Debbie Kiser and Renee Joslyn
