Mr. Jack H. Steen, (husband of Julie Gardner Steen) age 79, entered into rest on Saturday, December 15, 2018. Funeral Services for Jack and Julie Steen will be 2:00 PM Thursday, December 20, 2018 at Fairview Baptist Church by Pastor Kyle Oliver and Rev. Tim Steen with burial to follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends from 5:00 – 7:00 PM Wednesday at Miller-Rivers-Caulder Funeral Home.

Mr. Steen was born May 31, 1939 in Ruby, SC a son of the late William Thomas “W.T.” and Mary Elizabeth Blue Steen. A retired employee of S.C. Department of Transportation, Jack and Julie were faithful members of Fairview Baptist Church. He was a life-long farmer and enjoyed cattle farming and working on tractors.

In addition to his parents, Jack was also preceded in death by his siblings, Harold Steen, Shelby Jean Armburst, Vonzile Jordan, Bonnie Privette, Patricia Atkinson Brigman, and Billy Atkinson.

Survivors include his children, Jackie (Lisa Driggers) Steen of Monroe, NC, Donna (Ralph) Gainey of Ruby, SC, Beth (Craig) Broughton of Murrells Inlet, SC; grandchildren, Heather Gainey, Travis (Enereida) Oster, William Long, and Haley Long, great grandchild, Chloe Oster; siblings, Beatrice Johnson of Charlotte, NC, Claire Roberts of Mt. Croghan, SC, Bobby Atkinson of Charlotte, NC, Robert (Faye) Atkinson of Jefferson, SC, William (Jenny) Atkinson of Pageland, SC, Tommy (Gail) Atkinson of Chesterfield, SC, Sylvia Gurley of Charlotte, NC, Catherine Atkinson, and Grady (Betty) Atkinson both of Ruby, SC; also numerous nieces and nephews and their beloved 4-legged baby, “Maggie”.
