James A. "Duce" Wallace

Cheraw, SC

Mr. James A. “Duce” Wallace, age 84, entered into rest on Sunday, November 24, 2024. Graveside service will be 3:00 PM Wednesday, November 27, 2024 at Pleasant Hill Baptist Church Cemetery by Reverend Dennis Wallace. The family will greet friends from 5:00 – 7:00 PM Tuesday, November 26, 2024 at Miller-Rivers-Caulder Funeral Home.

Mr. Wallace was born January 5, 1940 in Chesterfield County, SC a son of the late Arlie and Margaret Lee Roscoe Wallace. He was a retired security guard with A.O. Smith and a life-long mechanic. Duce was a member of Westfield Creek Baptist Church and enjoyed watching Jimmy Swaggart on television.

In addition to his parents, Mr. Wallace was also preceded in death by his wife, Brenda Delores Johns Wallace; grandson, Cody Alan Wallace; brother, Jesse Leon Wallace; sister, Donnie Jenelle Dillard; and brothers-in-laws, Donald “Bunky” Tyner, and L.P. Grooms.

Survivors include his children, Scott Wallace, and Eric Lee Wallace both of Cheraw, SC; grandchildren, Cameron Scott Wallace, James Kyle Wallace and their mother, Tammy Wallace; sisters, Elizabeth “Elese” Tyner of Cheraw, SC, Gladys Grooms of Patrick, SC, and Annie Mae (Henry) Johnson of Cheraw, SC; companion, Mary Newton; and numerous nieces and nephews.
