James Danny "Hog Head" Chisholm

          Mr. James Danny “Hog Head” Chisholm, age 60, entered into eternal rest on Friday, August 11, 2023. Graveside services will be 4:00 PM Monday, August 14, 2023 at Brown Springs Baptist Church Cemetery by Reverend Tim Williams. The family will greet friends immediately following the service at the cemetery.

          Mr. Chisholm was born June 15, 1963 in Hartsville, SC a son of the late J.E. and Lila Tyner Chisholm. He was a retired millwright having worked in construction his entire working career. Danny enjoyed hunting, working in his garden, and “piddling.” He was known for his many projects he always had going. Hog Head enjoyed spending time with his friends and was a very vivid storyteller to his grandchildren.

          In addition to his parents, Mr. Chisholm was also preceded in death by his brother, Eugene “Gene” Chisholm.

          Survivors include his wife of 34 years, Marie McLain Chisholm of the home; children, Kattie (Jackson) Huggins of McBee, SC, and Alicia (Ronnie Dew) Perdue of Patrick, SC; grandchildren, Cassidy Blanchard, Gage Huggins, and Scarlett Huggins; sister, Cathy Rivers; numerous nieces and nephews; and his beloved 4-legged best friend, “Seemore.”

          Memorials may be made in honor of “Seemore” to an animal shelter of one’s choice.
