James D. Estridge

Mr. James Darrell Estridge, age 78, entered into rest on Thursday, December 7, 2023. Funeral services will be 10:45 AM Sunday, December 10, 2023 at Wolf Pond Baptist Church officiated by Pastor Mark Evans and Hospice Chaplain Rev. Tony Clark with burial to follow in the church cemetery. The family will greet friends immediately following the service in the church fellowship hall.

Mr. Estridge was born on June 18, 1945 in Monroe, NC to the late James Bronsil and Mamie Yow Estridge. James loved Wolf Pond Baptist Church where he was a faithful member. He was the epitome of a “people person” who enjoyed meeting with and talking to others as often as he could. James would also visit the sick and those who were unable to leave their homes.

In addition to his parents, Mr. Estridge was preceded in death by his daughter, Carolyn Estridge; brother, Charles Estridge; sisters, Doris Mills, and Lib Yarbrough.

Mrs. Estridge is survived by his loving wife of over 60 years, Kathleen Estridge of the home; son, Donald Estridge of Pageland, SC; and sister, Ruth Graves of Pageland, SC.
