James G. "Jim" Henshaw

Pageland, SC

    Mr. James George “Jim” Henshaw, age 82, entered into rest on Tuesday, October 22, 2024. A funeral mass will be 10:00 AM Saturday, October 26, 2024 in the chapel of Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church, 725 Deese St. Monroe, NC by Pastor Benjamin A. Roberts. The family will greet friends immediately following mass in the church chapel. A committal service will be held on Saturday at 1:00 PM in the Providence Baptist Church Cemetery, Pageland, SC by Brent Taylor. 

     Mr. Henshaw was born April 26, 1942 in Nanty Glo, PA the son of the late James Irvin and Joesphine Lesniak Henshaw. Jim was a veteran of the United States Army who, following his service, retired from Pageland Screen Printers. Mr. Henshaw was a faithful member of Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church. He was also a member and supporter of the American Legion. Mr. Henshaw spent many years caring for his wife, Martha. He enjoyed spending time with his wife and doing crafts with her. 

     In addition to his parents, Mr. Henshaw was also preceded in death by his wife, Martha Watts Henshaw; son, Allen Henshaw; and sister, Barbara Grosik.

     Survivors include his siblings, Mary Margaret Henshaw of Nanty Glo, PA, Dennis Henshaw of PA, Patricia Henshaw of PA, Joan (Joseph) Noonan of MD, Elisabeth (John) Sporcich of WI, Ann (Thomas) Bellino of VA, Christine (Adam) Roberts of HI; numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews; and special friends, Mark (Tammy) Arrington of Pageland, SC. 

     Memorials can be made to the Highpoint Fire Department, Po Box 164, Pageland, SC 29728; or to the Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church, 725 Deese St. Monroe, NC 28112.
