James "Jim" Michael Russell

          Mr. James Michael “Jim” Russell, age 74, entered into rest on Tuesday, June 6, 2023. Graveside services will be 11:00 AM Saturday, June 10, 2023 at Ebenezer United Methodist Church Cemetery by Dr. Steve West. The family will greet friends following the service at the cemetery.

          Mr. Russell was born April 12, 1949 in Chicago, IL a son of the late Archie and Florence Massey Russell. He was a graduate of Gage Park High School in Chicago, IL and earned an Associate’s Degree in electrical engineering. He was a U.S. Army Veteran of the Vietnam War and a former 2^nd Commander with the Mt. Croghan – Ruby American Legion Post 134. Jim was a retired employee of Takata Industries and a former employee of U.S. Steel. He was a very experienced TV and VCR technician.

          In addition to his parents, Mr. Russell was also preceded in death by his sister and brother-in-law, Carol R. and Frank T. DeMiere; niece, Patti D. Perry; and aunt, Grace Massey.

          Survivors include his niece, Sharon DeMiere; nephews, Jake Brown, and Landon Perry; a host of close friends including his neighbors, Rusty & Patti Thompson, and the breakfast group from Moore’s Drive In.
