James "Jimmy" Albert Teal

 Cheraw, SC 

 Mr. James “Jimmy” Albert Teal, age 72, entered into rest on Friday, January 17, 2025 at his home. Funeral services will be 2:00 PM Friday, January 24, 2025 from the Chapel of Miller-Rivers-Caulder Funeral Home by Brent Taylor with burial to follow in the Pine Grove Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will greet friends from 1:00 – 2:00 PM Friday, prior to the service at the funeral home. 

Mr. Teal was born September 26, 1952 in Chesterfield County, SC a son of the late John Robert and Temple Bell Gulledge Teal. He was a retired employee of Columbus McKinnon with over 46 years of service and a member of Pine Grove Baptist Church. Jimmy had a passion for reading and songwriting and cherished outdoor activities such as fishing and hunting. He enjoyed shopping at Wal-Mart and valued quality time with his family, especially as a beloved grandfather.

In addition to his parents, Mr. Teal was also preceded in death by his brother, Richard Thomas Teal; and sister, Robin Teal.

Survivors include his wife of nearly 50 years, Sharon Teal of the home; children, William (Erin) Teal of Pageland, SC, Angela Teal Martin, and Roger Teal both of Cheraw, SC; grandchildren, Logan, Maverick, Wyatt, Caylie, Jay, Megan (Levi), Briana (Jon), Micah, Trevor, Christian, Blake, and Angelina; great grand children, Laken, Trvett, Hollis, Kahlil; brother, Devoide (Mary) Teal of Cheraw, SC; sister, Ann Teal of Chesterfield, SC; sister-in-law, Cheryl Teal; in addition to numerous nieces and nephews. 

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to a hospice organization of one's choice.
