INTERMENT: will be in the Church Cemetery

VISITATION: is 3:00 PM - 4:00 PM, Sunday, June 19, 2011 prior to the service in the Church Fellowship Hall

HISTORY: Mr. Melton was born February 5, 1921 in Ruby, SC a son of the late George and Sue Woodward Melton. He was a retired truck driver with Branch Motor Lines. Mr. Melton was a faithful member of White Oak Presbyterian Church for many years where he served as former Elder, Sunday School Superintendent, and was a member of the Men's Club. Jim enjoyed gardening, raising hogs and cows, and meeting with his friends at the breakfast club. In addition to his parents, Jim was preceded in death by a son Mike Melton; seven brothers, Arthur Woodward, Kirb, Archie, Raymond, Clyde, David, and Clayton Melton; and by two sisters, Eva Wright and Rachel Petrea

Wife of 65 years: Estelle Douglas Melton of the home
2 Sons: James R. "Bobby" Melton and Tommy (Doris) Melton both of Ruby, SC
Also 4 Grandchildren and 4 Great Grandchildren
