Mr. James Robert “Randy” Hall entered into rest on Monday, January 6, 2025. Funeral services will be 2:00 PM Thursday, January 9, 2025 from the Chapel of Miller-Rivers-Caulder Funeral Home by Pastor Kyle Oliver and Reverend Charles Broome with burial to follow in the Elizabeth Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 5:00 – 7:00 PM Wednesday, January 8, 2025 at Miller-Rivers-Caulder Funeral Home.
Mr. Hall was born on May 28, 1956, in Wadesboro, North Carolina, a son of the late Otis Wilson and Mary Frances Gulledge Hall. Randy was a proud graduate of Pageland High School, class of 1974. Demonstrating a strong work ethic from a young age, he began his career at Chesterfield Yarn Mill at the age of 16, initially working second shift while also attending school. Randy dedicated over 50 years to the textile industry, rising through the ranks from a floor sweeper to the esteemed position of plant superintendent at the mill.
Randy was a member of Elizabeth Baptist Church and was known for his selfless nature, always putting the needs of others before his own. His commitment to his family as a dedicated caregiver exemplified his compassionate spirit and huge heart. A man who never met a stranger, Randy had the ability to connect with others; he was a friendly and outgoing individual who could light up any room with his wit and charm.
Randy lived life to the fullest, enjoying a variety of hobbies that included riding motorcycles, fishing, gardening, and hunting. He looked forward to the annual company hunting trip with his coworkers each year. Additionally, he treasured any time spent in the mountains, exploring tiny campers, and attending car shows.
In addition to his parents, Mr. Hall was preceded in death by his wife, Deborah Broome Hall; father-in-law & mother-in-law, Josh and Etta Broom; sister-in-law Joyce Jones Broome; siblings, Nancy Ellen Hall Owens, Bonnie Hall Braddock, Darrell Wilson Hall, Ronnie E. Hall, Mike T. Hall, Larry W. Hall, and Chris L. Hall; nephews, Dwayne Hall, David Braddock, and Donald Mauldin; and niece Darlene Breau.
Survivors include his daughter, Jennifer Hall (Richard) Gaddy of Chesterfield, SC; beloved grandson and fishing buddy, Beauford Maverick “BoBo” Gaddy; sisters, Elaine Hall Maree of Morven, NC, Eleanor Hall (Howell) Mauldin of Tignall, GA, and Lucille Hall (Howard) Mauldin of Harvey, LA; brother, Rodney W. (Teresa) Hall of Monroe, NC; sister-in-law, Carol Lee Hall of Cheraw, SC; nieces and nephews, Kevin Hall, Kristen Hall, Jessica Hall (Rev. Kyle) Oliver, Brandon Jenkins, Cody Hall, Madeline Hall, Samuel Hall, Chandler Hall, Tom Mauldin, Ellie Owens, William Thomas Owens, and Andrew Owens; in addition to numerous great nieces and great nephews.
