James Mitchell "Mickey" Sikes

Mr. James Mitchell “Mickey” Sikes, age 68, entered into rest on Tuesday, September 3, 2024 at his home. Funeral services will be 3:00 PM Friday, September 6, 2024 at Center Grove Baptist Church by Pastor Johnny Sims and Reverend Kenneth Lindsey with burial to follow in the church cemetery. The family will greet friends from 2:00 – 3:00 PM Friday, prior to the service at the church.

Mr. Sikes was born July 23, 1956 in Chesterfield, SC a son of the late Leroy and Viola Williams Sikes. He was a life-long carpenter who could build anything. Mickey grew up attending Center Grove Baptist Church with his family. He enjoyed working in his garden, raising chickens, going to the flea-markets, and most of all spending time with his friends.

In addition to his parents, Mr. Sikes was also preceded in death by 3 sisters, Carol Weaver, Frances Hudson, and Sara Snipes.

Survivors include his sons, Jamie M. (Amanda) Sikes of Pageland, SC, and Scottie Collins of Rockingham, NC; siblings, Leroy (Jean) Sikes of Mt. Croghan, SC, Jimmy Sikes of Chesterfield, SC, Bobby (Sheila) Sikes of Mt. Croghan, SC, and Donnie (Vicky) Sikes of Ruby, SC; special friend, Lisa Short of Mt. Croghan, SC; in addition to numerous nieces and nephews.
