FUNERAL SERVICE: 5:00 P.M. Monday, May 21, 2012 at Shiloh United Methodist Church

INTERMENT: will follow in the Church Cemetery

VISITATION: 3:00 - 5:00 P.M. Monday, May 21, 2012 prior to the service in the Church Fellowship Hall

HISTORY: Mr. Teal was born June 16, 1929 in Chesterfield, SC, a son of the late Riley Drew Teal and Ola Brown Teal. He was a graduate of Cheraw High School and a retired Farmer. Mr. Teal was a member and former President of the Chesterfield County Farm Bureau, a former State Director with the S. C. Farm Bureau Marketing Association, a former member of the Chesterfield County Soil and Water Conservation District, and a former member of the Forestry Commission.
Mr. Teal served as a former member of the Lynches Rivers Board of Directors, the Chesterfield County Rural Water Board of Directors, and was also former member of the Carolina Bank Board of Directors.
He was a faithful member of the Shiloh United Methodist Church, where he was a former member of the Administrative Council, a member of the Men's Bible Class, and a member of the Shiloh Men's Club.Mr.Teal was a U.S. Navy Veteran. In addition to his parents, James was also preceded in death by his brother, Thomas Leroy Teal.

Wife of 57 years: Betty Jean Hurst Teal of the home
3 Sons: James Riley (Monica) Teal, John Michael (Kathy) Teal, and Thomas Wesley (Sherry) Teal all of Chesterfield, SC
6 Grandchildren: Caroline (Michael) Thomas, Haley (Mark) Canipe, Dr. John Teal, Alex Teal, Skylar Teal, and Madison Teal
