DECEASED: Mr. James Johnson "Jimmy" Turner, age 56, died Thursday, January 27, 2011, at Palmetto Baptist Hospital

GRAVESIDE SERVICE: 11:00 A.M. Saturday, February 5, 2011 in Chesterfield Cemetery.

HISTORY: Mr. Turner was born in Florence, SC. He was the beloved son of the late Jacqueline and Carl Johnson, both of whom died in an automobile accident when he was an infant. He was adopted by his grandparents, Dr. and Mrs. James E. Turner of Chesterfield, where he grew up and graduated from Chesterfield High School. He attended Clemson University. Jimmy lived in the Columbia area for the last 30 years. He most recently was employed by Di Prato's Restaurant. Jimmy was a member of Good Shepherd Lutheran Church in Columbia.

Sisters: Barbara (Charlie) Teal of Chesterfield, SC Allianne (Howard) Duvall of Columbia, SC and Frances Scott (Tim) Moore of Barnwell, SC.
