Mr. James Colon Polson, age 40, entered into rest on Thursday, August 22, 2019 at his home surrounded by his loving family. Funeral services will be 5:00 PM Saturday, August 24, 2019 at Forest Pine Church by Pastor Danny Malloy and Ricky Malloy (James’ buddy) with burial to follow in the church cemetery. The family will greet friends from 4:00 – 5:00 PM Saturday prior to the service at the church and other times at the home.
Mr. Polson was born April 3, 1979 in Cheraw, SC a son of James Ted “Billy” and Barbara Williams Polson. He attended school in Cheraw and enjoyed attending Forest Pine Church. James was an avid wrestling fan who loved to show you how strong he was by squeezing your hand. He was affectionately known as “Batman” and also loved to pose as “The Hulk.” His favorite movie was The Wizard of Oz, and he was quick to let you know Dorothy was his “Supergirl.”
In addition to wrestling, James also enjoyed watching cooking shows and preaching on television. A precious child of God, James was loved by everyone and in return shared the love of God to everyone he came in contact with. If you ever met him, you met a blessing!
James was reunited in heaven with his paternal grandparents, Howard & Ellen Brock Polson; and his maternal grandparents, Blease Williams & Mary Williams Jordan.
Survivors include his loving parents, Billy & Barbara Polson of the home; brother, Kenneth (Chrissy) Williams of Cheraw, SC; sisters, Elaine (Tony) Lewis of Hartsville, SC, and Elizabeth (Will) Fortenberry of Cheraw, SC; also, numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends that loved him dearly.
Miller-Rivers-Caulder Funeral Home of Chesterfield, SC (www.mrcfuneralhome.com) is serving the Polson family.
