James Darrell McAuley

Mr. James Darrell McAuley, age 57, entered into eternal rest on Friday, February 4, 2022. The family will hold a memorial service at a later date to celebrate the life of Mr. McAuley. All online condolences will be forwarded to the family.

Mr. McAuley was born April 6, 1964, a son of the late Norman Howard and Bobbie Lee Lemon McAuley.  James grew up in the Sanford, NC area, he was the owner/operator of McAuley Land Surveying. Over the years, James has taught and mentored many people about the job of land surveying. He was an avid NC State fan, overall sports fan, and a tournament poker player. He also had the distinction of being an Eagle Scout. James will be remembered as a loving and outgoing man that enjoyed having a good time.

Survivors include his wife, Shannon Justice of the home; sons, Michael (Rachel) McAuley of Apex, NC and Ryan Justice of Chesterfield, SC; daughters, Megan (John) Robison of Charlotte, NC, Michelle (Edward Dehart) McAuley of Charlotte, NC, and Megan (Cody) Sellers of Cheraw, SC; grandchildren, Madison McAuley, Eleanor McAuley, Piper Robison, and Alexander Sellers; and his aunt, Zoe Anne Herring of Siler City, NC.
