Mr. James Lee Moree, Jr., age 68, entered into rest on Tuesday, June 2, 2020. Funeral services will be 2:00 PM Friday, June 5, 2020 at Providence Baptist Church by Dr. Roger Wall and Brent Taylor with burial to follow in Greenlawn Memorial Park. The family will greet friends from 1:00 – 2:00 PM Friday prior to the service at the church and other times at the home of his daughter, Christina Funderburk, 2779 Mangum School Road, Pageland, SC.

Mr. Moree was born May 5, 1952 in Monroe, NC a son of Myrtle Ruth King Moree and the late James Lee “Pete” Moree, Sr. He was the retired owner and operator of Moree’s Hauling & Towing and a member of Providence Baptist Church. James enjoyed racing and was always supporting his grandchildren at all of their sporting events.

In addition to his father, Mr. Moree was also preceded in death by his sister, Nancy Ruth Moree; and granddaughter, Brianna Moree.

Survivors include his wife of nearly 44 years, Eloise A. Moree of the home; children, Davie (Aaresta) Moree, Christina (Dustin) Funderburk, and Vanessa (Anthony) Cassidy all of Pageland, SC; mother, Myrtle Ruth King Moree of Pageland, SC; grandchildren, Bryant (Ana Sanchez) Moree of Lancaster, SC, Skila Moree, Ashton Cassidy, Corbin Poplin, Alayna Cassidy, and Cameron and Carson Funderburk all of Pageland, SC; great grandchildren, Maylna Moree and Jayden Moree; brother, Johnny Moree of Pageland, SC; sister, Kim (Jon) Nelson of Pageland, SC; and numerous nieces and nephews.
