James Neil "Jimmy" Boatwright

Mr. James Neil “Jimmy” Boatwright, age 72, entered into rest on Sunday, January 28, 2018 at his home. A Celebration of Life Service will be 1:00 PM Friday from the Chapel of Miller-Rivers-Caulder Funeral Home by Dr. Ronnie Grizzle. The family will greet friends from 12:00 PM - 1:00 PM prior to the service at the funeral home.

Mr. Boatwright was born September 22, 1945 in Lilesville, NC a son of the late George M. and Wilma Frances Meachum Boatwright. He was a U.S. Army Veteran of the Vietnam War and a retired truck driver. In his spare time, Jimmy enjoyed fishing.

In addition to his parents, Mr. Boatwright was also preceded in death by his brother, Ray Marcus Boatwright.

Survivors include his son, Sonny (Tammy) Boatwright of Elgin, SC; grandchildren, Heather Boatwright of Elgin, SC, and Robert (Julie) Lyons of Lugoff, SC; 2 great grandchildren, Mason and Landon; sisters Avis Gulledge of Kannapolis, NC, Myrtle (Carroll) Raffaldt of Chesterfield, SC, Lois Ann “Ana Belle” Jordan of Ruby, SC, and Bonnie Moore of Polkton, NC.
