James R. (Jim) Price

Chesterfield, SC

Mr. James R. “Jim” Price, age 68, entered into rest on Wednesday, July 28, 2021. Funeral services will be 2:00 PM Tuesday, August 3, 2021 at Zoar United Methodist Church by Pastor Billy Jack Johnson with burial to follow in the church cemetery. The family will greet friends immediately following the service at the cemetery.

Mr. Price was born July 20, 1953 in Anson County, NC a son of the late Jack and Elizabeth Davis Price. He was retired employee of Trans South with over 25 years of service in consumer finance. He was a member of Zoar United Methodist Church and Green River Country Club. He was very proud to be a second-generation Mason. A talented musician who enjoyed all genres of music, Jim enjoyed playing the guitar, piano, and singing. He also enjoyed fishing, watching NASCAR, and playing golf.

In addition to his parents, Jim was also preceded in death by his brother, Jackie Price.

Survivors include his wife of 50 years, Kim W. Price of the home; son, James R. “Jim” (Jennifer) Price, Jr. of Fort Mill, SC; daughter, Tara (C.J.) MacFarlane of Monroe, NC; grandchildren, Killian Price, Jackson Price, Aidan Price, Cade MacFarlane, and Kyla MacFarlane; brother of the heart, Larry Mesecher; cousin of heart, Dee Davis; friends of the heart, Ralph Laney, Philip Martin, and Dean Carswell; and numerous nieces and nephews.
