Mr. James Thomas Henson, age 86, entered into eternal rest on Friday, January 28, 2022. Memorial services will be 11:00 AM, Saturday, February 12, 2022 at Philadelphia United Methodist Church, 2260 Chester Hwy, York, SC 29745. The family will greet friends following the service.

Mr. Henson was born August 22,1935 in Quitman County, Mississippi, a son of the late Thomas Edward and Alta Corrine Clark Henson. James was a U.S. Army Veteran and an avid horsemen. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and traveling. For the last 16 years James has lived happily in the Patrick area.

In addition to his parents, James was also preceded in death by his sons; Stephen Terry Andrews and David Mitchell Andrews; brothers, Edward Benson Henson, Charles Estes Henson, Joseph Earl Henson, and Leslie Allen Henson; sister, Mary Jane Henson-Dillingham.

Survivors include his wife of 23 years, Virginia Elizabeth (Libby) Henson of the home; sons, James Crawford (Amy) Henson of Lexington, SC, Jeffrey Stephen Henson of Indian, Alaska, George David (Andy) Andrews of Richburg, SC; daughters, Cathy (Thomas) Funderburk of Pageland, SC, Christy (Bobby) Honeycutt of Mineral Springs, NC, Cynthia Shea (Dennis) Andrews of Monroe, NC, Catherine Elizabeth Andrews-Williams of Mineral Springs, NC; daughter-in-law, Cathy Andrews of Waxhaw, NC; sisters, Joyce Faye (Aubrey) Burns, Bessie Earline (Tony) Ashe, and Judith Lynne (Robert) White.
