James Timothy "Tim" Blackburn

Tim and his wife Darlene are dear friends to many families of Chesterfield County through their years of floral service at The Petal Shoppe of Monroe, NC and the former Donnie's Florist of Pageland, SC. The Miller-Rivers-Caulder family extends their deepest condolences and sympathies to the Blackburn family. Mr. James Timothy “Tim” Blackburn, 58, of Monroe, died Monday, December 2, 2019 at CHS – Union in Monroe. Born November 28, 1961 in Union County, he was a son of George Dewey Blackburn and Patsy McManus Blackburn. He was also preceded in death by his brother, Gregory Allen Blackburn.

He was co-owner of The Petal Shoppe of Monroe with his wife Darlene 30 plus years. He had a love for music and enjoyed sharing his vocal talent.

The family will receive friends Wednesday evening from 5-8 PM at McEwen Funeral Home - Colonial Chapel in Monroe. Interment services will be private at Forest Lawn East Cemetery.

Mr. Blackburn is survived by his wife Darlene Knight Blackburn of the home; son, Wesley Blackburn of Monroe; daughter, Charlie Blackburn of Monroe; grandchildren, Raylen Maverick Blackburn and Hayden James Blackburn; niece, Sheree Knight and her daughter Harper Rayne of Pageland, SC.
