Mrs. Jane Vernon Moore, age 82, died Saturday, September 3, 2016. Funeral Services will be 11:00 AM Thursday, September 8, 2016 at First Presbyterian Church by Phillip Caulder, Jr. with burial to follow in the Old St. David’s Cemetery. The family will receive friends anytime at the home, 1026 Tec Road, Cheraw, SC

Mrs. Moore was born June 6, 1934 in Cheraw, SC a daughter of the late William Vernon and Addie Goude Vernon. She was a retired employee of Dan L. Tillman & Sons Insurance and following her retirement she worked as a secretary with Sandhills Ambulance Service of Cheraw. She was a member of First Presbyterian Church and enjoyed cooking, reading, and spending time with her family.

In addition to her parents, Jane was also preceded in death by her husband, Billy Joe Moore; and her brother, Dr. Jimmy Vernon.

Survivors include her daughter, Teresa Moore Poole of Powder Springs, GA; 2 sons, William Vernon (Teresa) Moore of Rockingham, NC, Joseph “Joey” Wellington of Cheraw, SC; 4 grandchildren, Jane Poole and Addie Poole both of Powder Springs, GA, Will Moore and Cory Moore both of Rockingham, NC; 2 great grandchildren, Raelyn and Austin; brother-in-law, A.W. Moore of Cheraw, SC; and sister-in-law, Mildred (Billy) Sellers of Cheraw, SC
