Janice Jenkins Evans

Mrs. Janice Jenkins Evans, age 69, entered into rest on Saturday, January 19, 2019. Funeral Services will be 2:00 PM Tuesday, January 22, 2019 from the Chapel of Miller-Rivers-Caulder Funeral Home by Rev. Ricky “Sweet” Jenkins with burial to follow in the Ruby Cemetery. The family will greet friends from 1:00 – 2:00 PM Tuesday prior to the service at the funeral home and other times at the home of her daughter, Kristy & Jason Melton.

Mrs. Evans was born May 24, 1949 in Chesterfield County, SC a daughter of the late Curtis Lee and Agnes Terry Jenkins. She was a former member of the Ruby Town Council where she served for 2 terms. Janice enjoyed going for a ride and listening to her music, talking on the phone, and reading. She loved her family very much and enjoyed spending time with them. Her grandson Trevor, was proudly the apple of her eye. Janice will be fondly remembered for her great personality and her gift of sharing a joke.

In addition to her parents, Mrs. Evans was also preceded in death by her husband, David L. Evans.

Survivors include her children, Tony (Sandra) Evans and Kristy E. (Jason) Melton both of Ruby, SC; grandson, Trevor Melton of Ruby, SC; brother, Larry (Janice) Jenkins of Wallace, SC; niece, Candace (Anthony) Smith; and great nephew, Nathan Smith all of Wallace, SC.
