Ms. Jannie Mae Owens Jordan, age 75, went home to be with the Lord on Saturday, November 26, 2022. Funeral services will be 1:00 PM Thursday, December 1, 2022 at Hope Family Worship Center by Pastor Trey Thompson and Pastor Ricky “Sweet” Jenkins with burial to follow in the Fairview Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will greet friends from 12:00 to 1:00 PM Thursday, prior to the service at the church.
Ms. Jordan was born September 3, 1947 in Chesterfield County, SC a daughter of the late Oscar and Lillie Mae Windham Owens. She was a retired employee of Chesterfield Yarn Mill and a member of Hope Family Worship Center. Jannie enjoyed going to flea-markets, looking for antiques, and dancing. A true people person, she never met a stranger. She was a beloved mother, grandmother, and great grandmother who loved her family deeply.
In addition to her parents, Ms. Jordan was also preceded in death by her brothers, Bud Owens, Jr., and Cliff Owens; sister, Mary Martha Brumley; brother-in-law, Paul Brumley; and nephew, David Bailey.
Survivors include her children, Gurney Richard (Sandy) Jordan of Wallace, SC, Teresa Ann Jordan (Mo) Duncan of Pageland, SC, and Larry (Angie) Jordan of Pageland, SC; grandchildren, Eric (Courtney) Jordan, Channing (Madison) Jordan, Christopher Airington, Jason (Brittany) Smith, Kristina Portman, Michael Arledge, Mitchell (Brittany) Jordan, Ira (Tanya) Edge, John Edge, Kaylan Ganus, Josh (Jaime) Duncan, and Randy (Melisa) Duncan; 26 great grandchildren, and 1 on the way; siblings, Ernest Owens of Chesterfield, SC, Charlie “Big-Time” Owens of Pageland, SC, Patricia “Pat” Owens of Mt. Croghan, SC; Arthur (Lucille) Owens of Mt. Croghan, SC, John Franklin (Brenda) Owens of Kannapolis, NC, Carolyn (Johnny) Hamilton of Mt. Croghan, SC, and Ronnie Owens of Ruby, SC; sisters-in-law, Linda Owens of Cheraw, SC, and Goldie Owens of Chesterfield, SC; in addition to numerous nieces and nephews.
The family would like to express their heartfelt thanks to hospice nurses, Madison, and Crystal and the entire staff of Regency SouthernCare Hospice of Chesterfield for the excellent love and support provided to Ms. Jannie and their family.
