Jean Lyon Schauer

Mrs. Jean Lyon Schauer, age 97, entered into rest on Tuesday, July 19, 2022 at her home. Graveside services will be 2:00 PM Thursday, July 21, 2022 at Chatham Hill Memorial Gardens by Reverend Charles Teal. The family will greet friends from 12:00 PM – 1:30 PM on Thursday at Miller-Rivers-Caulder Funeral Home.

Mrs. Schauer was born July 13, 1925 in Windham, CT a daughter of the late Winfield H. and Cornelia Hellen Cobb Lyon. She was a retired employee of Cooper Industries – Weller Division and enjoyed spending time with her family. Mrs. Jean was an avid reader and enjoyed sewing and crocheting.

In addition to her parents, Mrs. Schauer was also preceded in death by her husband, Harry Fredrick Schauer; sons, Daniel Thomas Schauer, and Craig Adam Schauer; half-brother, Clayton Lyon; and daughter-in-law, Dodi Schauer.

Survivors include her sons, Mark (Faye) Schauer, Kirk Schauer both of Wallace, SC, and Gary (Karen) Schauer of Chesterfield, SC; grandchildren, Dawn (John) Simmons, Caryn Schauer, Thomas (Lucille) Schauer, Kirk (Heather) Schauer, II, and Jennifer (Tad) Polson; 12 great grandchildren; 2 great-great grandchildren; half-sister, Barbara Flood of Palm Beach Gardens, FL.
