Jerry E. Ratliff entered the kingdom of heaven this week after 87 years on Earth. As a devoted child of God, Jerry spent his life spreading the word of the Lord. He was adamant that God's love was for all and made it his mission that all he came in contact with felt this through his words and actions.

 Jerry was born to Walter Dubb Ratliff and Bertha Brock Ratliff in Cheraw, SC. He grew up in Cheraw and served his country in the Army and was stationed in Germany.

 He has two brothers and a sister who predeceased him. William (Bill) Ratliff, Jean (Pat) Moore, and Charles Ratliff. He is survived by his brothers Bobby, Henry, Tim,& Clinton Ratliff, and Becky Ratliff. He is also survived by his wife, Becky, two sons, Henry, and Randy and their spouses, 3 grandchildren, 4 great grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.

 Jerry and Becky were both attendees of Northdale Baptist Church for over 50 years, and in his later years, Jerry served as a deacon. Jerry was well known and loved by his community. 

 A celebration of Jerry's life will be held on Monday, October 21 at 2:00 at Northdale Baptist Church, with graveside services held at Gethsemane Cemetery and Gardens in Charlotte afterwards.
