INTERMENT: to follow in the Church Cemetery with Masonic Rites
VISITATION: 6:00 — 8:00 P.M. Saturday, January 2, 2010 at the Miller-Rivers-Caulder Funeral Home.
HISTORY: Mr. Gooden was born June 7, 1942, in Chesterfield, SC a son of the late Barney Peter and Tempiebell Gulledge Gooden. He was a retired employee of Hornwood and a former employee of Burlington Industries. Mr. Gooden was a member of Bay Springs Baptist Church, where he served as a former Deacon, and was a member of the cemetery committee. He was a member of Chesterfield Masonic Lodge 220. Jessie was an avid Chesterfield Ram football fan, and enjoyed gardening, and helping his neighbors. In addition to his parents, Jessie was preceded in death by 3 brothers, Junior, Robert, and Donald Gooden.

1 Son: Phillip Rogers of Chesterfield, SC
1 Grandson: Blake Rogers of Chesterfield, SC
2 Brothers: Ed Gooden and Roy Gooden both of Patrick, SC
