Ms. Joan Brigman Tyson, age 64, entered into rest on Thursday, January 25, 2018. Funeral Services will be 3:00 PM Sunday, January 28, 2018 from the Chapel of Miller-Rivers-Caulder Funeral Home by Pastor Dave Bradshaw with burial to follow in the Lower Macedonia Memorial Gardens. The family will greet friends from 2:00 – 3:00 PM prior to the service at the funeral home.

Ms. Tyson was born September 20, 1953 in Cheraw, SC a daughter of the late Donald and Alma Roscoe Brigman. She was a homemaker who was dedicated to her family and a member of Calvary Baptist Church. Joan will always be remembered for her big heart and how she enjoyed caring for others, especially her grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, Joan was also preceded in death by her son, John "Little John" Quick, Jr.; and infant granddaughter, Hazel Grace Watts.

She is survived by 3 daughters, Elesha (Porter Claytor) Quick, Deanna (Jody) Jacobs, and Paula Quick all of Cheraw, SC; son, Will Tyson of Cheraw, SC; grandchildren, Jodi Jacobs, Ciara Jacobs, Harley Griffin, Summer Griffin, Cody Jacobs, Hayden Watts, Porter Claytor, Jr., Annabelle Claytor, and Payden Watts; twin sister, Janice Brigman of Lugoff, SC, sisters, Elesha Skillings of Lugoff, SC and Lori Brigman of Cheraw, SC; also nieces and nephews.
