HISTORY: Mr. Purvis was born April 2, 1960, in Wadesboro, NC, the son of Frances Elizabeth Purvis. He was a former employee of Crown Cork, & Seal Co., and was a former member of the SC Army National Guard. Joe was preceded in death by his wife, Jenny Teal Purvis, and by his grandparents, who help to raise him, Charles William "Red" Purvis and Ruby Johns Purvis.
