INTERMENT: will follow in the David's Grove Baptist Church Cemetery with Military Honors
VISITATION: is 2:00 - 3:00 PM, Saturday, prior to the service at the Funeral Home
HISTORY: Mr. Rayfield was born September 2, 1946 in Chesterfield, SC, a son of the late James Pruitte Rayfield and Rosa Mae Vaughn Rayfield. Joe graduated from Chesterfield High School, served in the U.S. Army, and was a former employee of Sonoco Products Company in Hartsville, SC. He loved to hunt and fish and go to football games. Joe loved to read and went to the library every day. He loved people and stopped in to visit with the employees at the Chesterfield Drug and the Main Street Café' on a daily basis. He was so proud of his girls and grandchildren, and loved to talk about and visit with them as often as he could. In addition to his parents, Joe was also preceded in death by brothers James Murray Rayfield and wife Jeri; Jadie C. Rayfield and wife Nona; and one sister, Evelena Rayfield.

2 Brothers: Gerald P. Rayfield of Patrick, SC and Charles B. Rayfield and wife Dawn of Cheraw, SC
3 Sisters: Margie R. Gaskins and husband Monroe of Chesterfield, SC, Bonnie R. Rollins and husband Calvin of Ruby, SC, and Rose Etta Schumacher and husband Bill of Chesterfield, SC
