Mr. Joe Cephus Gregory, age 80, entered into rest on Monday, June 8, 2020 at his home. Graveside services will be 2:00 PM Saturday, June 13, 2020 at Twin Pines Freewill Baptist Church Cemetery by Rev. Matthew Tucker. The family will greet friends from 1:00 – 2:00 PM Saturday prior to the service at the cemetery and other times at the home of his daughter, Angela & J.T. Price.

Mr. Gregory was born November 18, 1939 in Chesterfield County, SC a son of the late Edward “Ed” Gregory and Kathleen Melton Lloyd. He was a former millwright with PPM Construction with 15 years of service, and a retired employee of Griggs and Sons Inc. with over 10 years of service. Joe enjoyed riding motorcycles, driving fast cars, and collecting guns. He loved dancing with his girls and spending time with his family.

In addition to his parents, Mr. Gregory was also preceded in death by his sister, Peggy Gregory; brother, Edward “Pete” Gregory; and long-time friend, Jim Watts.

Survivors include his children, Regina Gentry of TN, Joie Gregory of GA, Michelle (Jason) Melton of Raeford, NC, Jessica (Michael) Blackwell of Pageland, SC, and Angela (J.T.) Price of Jefferson, SC; life-long love & caregiver, Darla Watts of Jefferson, SC; 11 grandchildren, and 6 great-grandchildren; brothers, Johnny Frank (Louise) Gregory of MD, Stanley Wayne (Alicia) Gregory of Bennettsville, SC, and Jerry William Rice of Rock Hill, SC ; sisters, Doris G. Paulson of Oregon, Diane “Pat” Watford of Bennettsville, SC, Linda G. Faye of Rock Hill, SC, and Susan G. Hutto of Jacksonville, NC; and numerous nieces and nephews.
