Mr. Joe Harold Williams, 71, died Monday, July 2, 2018, at Carolina Medical Center - Main in Charlotte after a short illness.  The family will receive friends at the home of their daughter, 7019 Hyde Park Dr. Indian Trail, NC. Funeral services will be 3:00 pm Friday, July 6, 2018 at Twin Harbor Worship Center with Rev. Tommy Blackwell and Mr. Phillip Caulder, Jr. officiating.  Visitation and reception following the service. The committal service will be at 7:00 pm in the Peachland City Cemetery in Peachland, NC.

Joe was born June 8, 1947 in Anson, NC, a son of the late Ray Williams, Jr. and Ola Mae Stegall Williams.  He had worked for many years at the Wagon Wheel Grill and was a retired propane truck driver with Heritage Propane of Marshville, NC.

He had a great faith and always found the opportunity to invite people to church so that they could have a personal relationship with Jesus Christ. Joe loved to travel and spend time with his grandchildren.

In addition to his parents, Joe was also preceded in death by his sister, Wendy W. Funderburk.

Surviving is his wife, Rebecca Ashcraft Williams; their daughter Amy Williams Weddine and spouse Jeff S. Weddine; their grandchildren, Garrett Weddine, Seth Weddine, and Ella Weddine all of Indian Trail, NC.

He is also survived by a sister, Deborah W. Carelock and spouse Dale Carelock of Monroe, NC; brother Bobby Williams and spouse Carol Williams of Marshville, NC.  He is also survived by brother-in-law, David Funderburk of Peachland, NC many nieces and nephews.
