Joell Hodge

Mr. Joell Michael Hodge, died Tuesday, July 12, 2016. Memorial Services will be held at 5:00 PM Friday, July 15, 2016 at Miller-Rivers-Caulder Funeral Home Chapel. The family will receive friends from 4:00 – 5:00 PM prior to the service at the funeral home.

Mr. Hodge was born October 22, 1949 in Darlington, SC a son of the late Elliott and Lida Rea O’Neal Hodge. He was a retired foreman with SC DOT with 28 years of service and enjoyed attending New Life Baptist Church. In his spare time he enjoyed working on lawnmowers and watching wrestling.

In addition to his parents, Joell was also preceded in death by his brothers, Martin and Levon Hodge.

Survivors include his wife of 47 years, Shelby J. Hodge of the home; 2 sons, Davey Hodge and wife Charlene of Ruby, SC, and Walter Elliott Hodge and wife Angela of Cheraw, SC; 4 grandchildren, Hunter Hodge, Devin, Dawson, and Courtney Haywood; 1 brother, Derman Hodge and wife Marilyn of Florence, SC; and 1 sister, Denise Nichols and husband Roger of Hartsville, SC; and numerous nieces and nephews.
