John Curry, Sr

Graveside services will be held on Saturday, June 22nd at 1:00 pm for John L. Curry, Sr. at Mt. Olivet UMC cemetery in Cheraw, SC. Born on February 14, 1928 in Chesterfield County to Bronson and Cora McQuaige Curry, John died at home on June 19, 2013. In addition to his parents, John is predeceased by his wife, Carolyn Stanley Curry, infant children,Laurinda Carole and Richard Bronson, and granddaughter Heather Mieras.

He is survived by his children Annette and Jim Hicklin of Edgemoor, Johnny and Kathy Curry of Irmo, and Denise and Alan Cowles of Chapin. He is also survived by brother, Bronson (Millie) of Lexington; sisters Elizabeth Rice of Lexington, Sue Harpe of Cheraw, Dolores McLain (Glenn) of Patrick, Estelle Montgomery (Tracy) of West Columbia,Irene Glynn Eslick of Patrick, Barbara Judd of Little Mountain, and Shirley Sellers (Richard) of Patrick. He is survived by grandchildren Jimmy and Kia Hicklin of Rock Hill, David Hicklin of Rock Hill, Lauren Cowles of Irmo, Laura Hicklin of Columbia, Sarah Todd of Chapin, Kaitlin Cowles of Lexington, and Kimberly Curry of Columbia. He is also survived by great grandchildren AJ Mieras, Kaden Todd, Evan Hicklin, and Noah Todd.
