John "Johnny" William Hunt

          Mr. John “Johnny” William Hunt, age 74, entered into rest on Monday, January 2, 2023. Funeral services will be 3:00 PM Friday, January 6, 2023 from the Chapel of Miller-Rivers-Caulder Funeral Home by Pastor Jeff Hart and Reverend Jimmy Lambert with burial to follow in the Lower Macedonia Memorial Gardens. The family will greet friends from 2:00 – 3:00 PM Friday, prior to the service at the funeral home.

          Mr. Hunt was born March 16, 1948 in Chesterfield County, SC a son of the J.B. and Alma Pegues Hunt, and was also preceded by his step-mother, Minnie Lee Hunt. He was a retired employee of INA Bearing and a faithful member of Amazing Grace Ministries. He was also a member of Chesterfield Masonic Lodge #220. Johnny enjoyed building, fishing, gardening, and spending time with his family and friends.

          In addition to his parents, Mr. Hunt was also preceded in death by 2 sisters, Dean Hunt Beach, and Linda Hunt Wallace; brother, Jerry Lee Hunt; step-brother, Carlyle Smith; and daughter, Donna Lynn Hunt Dixon.

          Survivors include his devoted wife of 47 years, Diane Hunt of the home; son, John Matthew Hunt of Chesterfield, SC; son-in-law, David Dixon of Patrick, SC; grandchildren, Delaney Rhea Hunt, Devin Berry Hunt, Amanda (Shane) Atkinson, and Michelle Dorsey; great grandchildren, Will, Alexis, Lilly, Chase, Karson, and Konner; siblings, Tommy Harold (Cathy) Hunt of Chesterfield, SC, Frances (Jerry) Rivers of Hartsville, SC; Ann H. Bradley, and Mary H. Goodale both of Cheraw, SC, and Brenda Caulder of Chesterfield, SC; and numerous nieces and nephews.
