John Robert Heustess

          Mr. John Robert Heustess, age 81, entered into rest on Saturday morning, March 18, 2023. Funeral services will be 3:00 PM Tuesday, March 21, 2023 from the Chapel of Miller-Rivers-Caulder Funeral Home by Brent Taylor with burial to follow in the Chesterfield Cemetery. The family will greet friends from 2:00 – 3:00 PM Tuesday, prior to the service at the funeral home.

          Mr. Heustess was born November 5, 1941 in Chesterfield, SC a son of the late Johnny and Geneva Polson Heustess. He was a former employee of Mar-Mac Industries and retired from Chesterfield Webbing. An avid outdoorsman, Robert enjoyed gardening, hunting, and fishing. His favorite pastimes were watching the Price is Right, old Westerns, and going to the flea-markets looking for a deal.

          In addition to his parents, Mr. Heustess was also preceded in death by his son-in-law, Rickey Green; brother, Tom Heustess; and an infant brother.

          Survivors include his wife of nearly 54 years, Ruth M. Heustess of the home; children, Jennifer H. (Bobby) Jordan, and Wendy Green both of Chesterfield, SC; grandchildren, Karlena Green, and Rickey Green, Jr.; brother, Jimmy Heustess of Darlington, SC; sisters, Dot Gainey of Hartsville, SC, and Hazel Gainey.

          Memorials may be made to a charity of one’s choice.
