INTERMENT: to follow in the Church Cemetery

VISITATION: 4:00 - 5:00 P.M. Sunday, August 17, 2014 prior to the service in the Cross Roads Baptist Church Family Life Center

HISTORY: Mr. Jenkins was born February 14, 1939 in Ruby, SC, a son of the late Lemuel Frank and Emma Kirkley Jenkins. He was a graduate of Ruby High School, Class of 1956. Johnny was a faithful member of Cross Roads Baptist Church, having served as Trustee, Chairman of Deacons, Financial Secretary, Church Treasurer, Brotherhood Director, Sunday School Teacher, and Choir member. He was a former employee of Springs Industries, FCX Inc. and Gold Kist Inc., where he served as store manager for over twenty years. Johnny retired June 30, 2009 as Chesterfield County Auditor, having served for twenty years. He was a U.S. Army Veteran, a member of the American Legion Post # 74, VFW Post # 10731, Chesterfield Masonic Lodge # 220, and the Woodmen of the World Lodge # 516. Johnny loved his Lord, his family, and was a true people person. He enjoyed working in his garden and yard. In addition to his parents, Johnny was also preceded in death by his brothers, James, Hiram, Joe, and Bobby Jenkins; his sister, Betty Jenkins Lowder; and sister-in-law, Kathy H. Raffaldt.

Nieces and Nephews: Cindy (Robbie) Robertson, Joel (Heather) Jenkins, Vernon Moseley, Jamie (Jami) Brown, Michael (April) Brown, Jason (Melanie) Brock, Wesley (Kim) Brock, Philip (Jen) Sellers, Amanda (Justin Stanton) Raffaldt, Mary Eleanor Jenkins, Ann Jenkins, Jean (Ronnie) Chambers
Brothers-in-law and Sisters-in-law: Leonard Hancock, Janice and Bobby Brown, Carolyn and Weldon Sellers, Cindy and Wilbur Brock
Numerous Great Nieces and Nephews
And his beloved Feline Companion: Tiger
