FUNERAL SERVICE: 3:00 PM Thursday, November 5, 2015 at Miller-Rivers-Caulder Funeral Home Chapel, Chesterfield, SC

INTERMENT WITH MILITARY HONORS: Will follow in the Cross Branch Baptist Church Cemetery

VISITATION: 1:30 – 3:00 PM Thursday, November 5, 2015 prior to the service at the funeral home

HISTORY: Mr. Woods was born March 6, 1964 in Concord, NC a son of the late Allen Woods, Jr. and Zelma Boone Woods. He was a 1982 graduate of Cheraw High School and a U.S. Navy Veteran of Operation Desert Storm and Operation Enduring Freedom serving his country over 21 years. Mr. Woods was a decorated veteran. He was a two time recipient of the Gold Star, awarded the Silver Star, received the Liberation of Kuwait Medal, the National Defense Service Medal, the Navy Good Conduct Medal on 5 occasions, the Southwest Service Medal, and the Armed Forces Expiditionary Medal. Mr. Woods was a former Volunteer Firefighter with Patrick Fire Department. He enjoyed motorcycle riding, and watching NASCAR. In addition to his parents, Johnny was also preceded in death by a sister, Joyce Watkins, and by 3 infant brothers.

Mother-in-law: Patsy Gainey White of Patrick, SC
3 Sisters: Rhonda (Wayne Tino) Hancock, Donna Hammonds, and Loretta Woods all of Kannapolis, NC
Brother-in-law: Michael White of Chesterfield, SC
