FUNERAL SERVICE: 5:00 PM, Friday, October 19, 2012 at Hopewell Baptist Church

INTERMENT: to follow in the Church Cemetery

VISITATION: is 3:00 - 5:00 PM, Friday, October 19, 2012 prior to the service in the Church Fellowship Hall

HISTORY: Mr. Jenkins was born August 12, 1943 in Chesterfield County, SC a son of the late Joe Adam and Annabelle Joplin Jenkins. He was a graduate of Columbia Barber College, and was a former barber. Jokie was also a former supervisor with Weller and was a plant manager with Mar Mac. He was a member of Hopewell Baptist Church and was a charter member of the Chesterfield Jaycees. Jokie also helped to establish the County Library. He was a true family man, and was very devoted to his wife of 48 years. He loved making her happy. Jokie enjoyed fishing at the beach, going to auctions, and going out to eat. In his younger years, he enjoyed working on lawn mowers and other small engines. Jokie never met a stranger and was a friend to all.

1 Daughter: Crystal (Doug) Stowe of Mt. Croghan, SC
4 Grandchildren: Anna and Tucker Jenkins, and Chance and Krislynne Stowe
