Mr. Jonathon Phillip “Jon Boy” Coburn, age 31, entered into rest on Friday, May 12, 2017. Funeral Services will be 4:00 PM Tuesday, May 16, 2017 from the chapel of Miller-Rivers-Caulder Funeral Home by Rev. Micheal Carpenter and Rev. Ed Traxler with burial to follow in the Zoar United Methodist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6:00 – 8:00 PM Monday, May 15, 2017 at Miller-Rivers-Caulder Funeral Home.

Mr. Coburn was born August 20, 1985 in Chesterfield County, SC a son of John Charles Coburn and Darlene Burr Freeman. He was a former employee of T & D Solutions. Jon Boy was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed hunting, fishing, and riding four-wheelers. He enjoyed spending time with his children and will be fondly remembered for being the dad that all the neighborhood kids looked up to.

Survivors include his children, Phillip Avery Coburn, Hannah Grace Coburn, and Emerson Lane Francis; mother, Darlene (Joel) Freeman of Chesterfield, SC, father, John (Tracey) Coburn of Rockingham, NC, fiancé, Amanda Sharpe of Chesterfield, SC; 2 brothers, Christopher Coburn and Cody Ray Coburn both of Rockingham, NC; sister, Ashley Coburn of Chesterfield, SC; step-sisters, Amanda Freeman of Chesterfield, SC and Kim (Andy) Dean of Morven, NC; grandparents, Vayden and Betty Freeman of Chesterfield, SC.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Miller-Rivers-Caulder Funeral Home, 318 E. Main Street to assist the family.
