Ms. Joni Parks Propst Grooms, age 40, entered into rest on Saturday, August 8, 2020. Memorial services will be 2:00 PM Friday, August 14, 2020 from the Chapel of Miller-Rivers-Caulder Funeral Home by Brent Taylor. The family will greet friends from 1:00 – 2:00 PM Friday, prior to the service at the funeral home.

Ms. Grooms was born March 18, 1980 in Chesterfield, SC a daughter of the late Johnny Herbert and Frances Delores “Sis” Lewis Parks. She was formerly employed with Smith Trucking Company of Pageland, and Valley Proteins Inc. Joni enjoyed life and spending time with her children.

In addition to her parents, Ms. Grooms was also preceded in death by her brothers, David Ray Parks, and Johnny Herbert “Herbie” Parks.

Survivors include her children, MaKayla Propst of Concord, NC, and Little Shane Grooms of Rockingham, NC; companion of 14 years, Shane Grooms of Rockingham, NC; sister, Tina (Flint) Ratliff of Cheraw, SC; brother, Lee (Ricky Tisdale) Lear of Galivants Ferry, SC; aunt, Betty Freeman of Chesterfield, SC; uncle, Bobby (Delores) Lewis of Cheraw, SC; nieces, Sarah Parks Webster, Rachel Parks, Bethany Parks, and Alyssa Parks; nephews, Adam Parks, Dustin Parks, Flint Ratliff, and Zachery Blackwell; great nephews, Colton Parks, Dalton Ratliff, Bryson Rivers, and Nicholas Parks; great niece, Sophia Parks; and special cousin, Danny Parks of Fairmount, NC.
