Joseph "Joey" Wayne Curlee

Mr. Joseph “Joey” Wayne Curlee, age 57, entered into rest on Saturday, June 10, 2023. Funeral services will be 2:00 O’clock Friday, June 16, 2023 from the chapel of Miller-Rivers-Caulder Funeral Home. Burial will follow at the First Baptist Church of Pageland cemetery. The family will greet friends from 1:00-2:00 O’clock prior to the service at the funeral home.

Mr. Curlee was born August 8, 1965 in Monroe, NC a son of the late Billy Wayne and Edith Faye Timmons Curlee. Joey was first; a loving son, brother, uncle, and great-uncle. Joey worked hard on his family’s farm for many years before going to work at Tucker Lumber Co. He enjoyed farming, fishing, and rabbit hunting with his beagle dogs. Joey loved his family very much, especially his nieces, nephews, great-nieces and nephews. All of whom he enjoyed spending time with.

Those left to remember and celebrate his life are his brother David Curlee (Jodie), of Jefferson, South Carolina; sister, Kimberly Curlee Griffin (Ricky) of Jefferson, South Carolina; nieces and nephews; Logan Griffin (Katelyn), Evan Griffin (Courtney), Taryn Gurley (Jackson), Jonathan Griffin, Mason Horne, and Annah Horne; and his great nieces and nephews, Joanna Griffin, Grayson Gurley, Jubilee Griffin, and Cullen Griffin; Aunts Shirley Benton (Rudolph) of Pageland, SC, Martha Rollings of Jefferson, SC, and Uncle Carroll Timmons (Jane) of Maryland, also including numerous special family members and friends.
