DECEASED: Mr. Joseph “Joe” Preston Morton, age 69, died Tuesday, February 23, 2016 at his home.

FUNERAL SERVICE: 3:00 pm Thursday, February 25, 2016 at Miller-Rivers-Caulder Funeral Home Chapel

INTERMENT: will follow in the Bethesda United Methodist Church Cemetery

VISITATION: 5:00 – 7:00 PM Wednesday, February 24, 2016 at Miller-Rivers-Caulder Funeral Home

HISTORY: Mr. Morton was born January 14, 1947 in Chesterfield, SC a son of the late Cranford Ezekiel and Minnie Lee Williams Morton. He was a former employee of Chesterfield Webbing and a member of Chesterfield Church of God. Mr. Morton enjoyed gardening, planting flowers and trees, coon hunting, and watching NASCAR. One of his favorite pastimes was talking to his brother Carrol on the phone several times a day. In addition to his parents, Joe was also preceded in death by 1 sister, Helen Jean Eddins.

3 Sisters: Rachel Rivers, Ruth Sellers both of Ruby, SC, and Kathy Smith of Chesterfield, SC
6 Brothers: Carrol (Margaret) Morton of Ruby, SC, Donnie Morton of Chesterfield, SC, Ricky (Gail) Morton of Ruby, SC, Lester Phillip (Ann) Morton, Josh Morton both of Lancaster, SC, and Kyle (Whitney) Morton of Chesterfield, SC
