FUNERAL SERVICE: 1:00 PM, Saturday, March 7, 2009 at St. Paul United Methodist Church

INTERMENT: will follow in the Darlington Memory Gardens, Darlington, SC

VISITATION: 6:00 - 8:00 PM, Friday, March 6, 2009 at Miller-Rivers-Caulder Funeral Home, Chesterfield, SC

HISTORY: Mrs. Brown was born August 22, 1931 in Chicago, Illinois a daughter of the late Benedetto Gialo and Helen Derdzinski Subie. She was a retired secretary and bookkeeper with Essex Corp. Josephine enjoyed reading, sewing, and spending time with her grandchildren. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, James Odell Brown, three brothers, and two sisters.

3 Sons: James Patrick (Dee Dee) Brown of Bloomington, IL, Alex "Skip" Brown, and Richard Brown of Cheraw, SC
5 Daughters: Joann (Donald) Graham of Longview, TX, Georgiann Johnson, Josephine (Andy) Wallace, Stacy Brown of Cheraw, SC, and Joann (Victor) Campbell of Carthage, NC
Also 19 Grandchildren, 14 Great Grandchildren, and 1 Great, Great Grandchild
