Joyce "MeMe" Sellers Wood

Joyce Sellers Wood (lovingly known as MeMe), 81,left this world to be with the Lord and her beloved husband, the late Rev. William H. "Billy" Wood on Wednesday, August 23 , 2023 following a brief battle with cancer. Funeral services will be 2 O'clock Saturday, August 26, 2023 from the chapel of Miller-Rivers-Caulder Funeral Home by Rev. Donald Wallace Sr. and Brent Taylor with burial to follow in the Lower Macedonia Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends from 12:00-2:00 PM prior to the service at the funeral home.

Born in Mount. Croghan, SC on August 10, 1942, Joyce was the daughter of the late Paulie C. and Eleanor Rivers Sellers. A member of Lower Macedonia Baptist Church, Joyce was a homemaker, devoted mother and grandmother who enjoyed the simple things life had to offer, but most importantly, she enjoyed spending time with her family.

In addition to her parents, Joyce was also preceded in death by her husband, Rev. William H. "Billy" Wood.

Surviving are son, Kenny W. (Melissa) Wood of Chesterfield, grandson & pride and joy, K. Chandler Wood (Hailey Rowlan) of Chesterfield, brother Paulie C. Sellers Jr. (Carolyn) of Cheraw, nieces, April S. Zosch (Eric) of Raleigh, NC, Amy S. Matey (Rob) of Raleigh, NC, nephews Jackson & Cole Matey and Jordan & Mason Zoschg uncle Gerald Sellers, aunt Elmer Sellers and numerous cousins, nieces and nephews.

The family wishes to express their sincerest thanks to McLeod Hospital, Cheraw Healthcare and Agape Hospice nurses, Holly Patrick, April Carter, Jenny Tucker, and Chaplain Vivian Boyd for their care and compassion during this time.

In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Teals Mill Fire Department C/O Wood memorial, 5005 Teals Mill Road, Chesterfield, SC 29709.
