     Mrs. Juanita B. Mangum, affectionately known as “Maw Maw” and “Nee Nee”, entered into rest on Sunday, January 26, 2025 with her family by her side. A graveside service will be 2:00 PM Saturday, February 1, 2025 at Oakland Baptist Church Cemetery by Pastor Hank Griffin and Pastor Mark Phillips. The family will greet friends from 1:00- 2:00 PM Saturday prior to the service in the Oakland Baptist Church fellowship hall. 

     Mrs. Mangum was born on April 16, 1937 in Chesterfield, SC the daughter of the late Willie T. and Dora Brian Gibson Brock. Mrs. Mangum was a member of Pine Grove Baptist Church as well as the Eastern Star. She was also was a lover of the outdoors. Visitors would often catch her enjoying her tree swing by the garden. She also enjoyed shopping trips with her family. More than anything, Juanita loved being “Maw Maw” and “Nee Nee” to her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. 

     In addition to her parents, Mrs. Mangum is preceded in death by her husband, Billy D. Mangum; siblings, Mary Turner, Gardner Brock, Perry Brock, and Charles E. Brock.

     Survivors include children, Dora Ann (Bobby) Davis of Chesterfield, SC, Darrell (Betty) Mangum of Dorchester, SC; grandchildren, Clifton (Crystal) Mangum of Chesterfield, SC, Eric (Sherri) Donahue of Chesterfield, SC, Christy (Chris) Purvis of Hartsville, SC; great-grandchildren, Caston Mangum, Zoey Mangum, T.J. Tucker, Hunter Purvis, and Lylah Tucker; daughter-of- the heart, Gail (Terry) Hinson of Kershaw, SC; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

     In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to Gentiva Hospice, 205 E Main St, Chesterfield, SC 29709; or to the Shiners Children Hospital, donate.lovetotherescue.org.
