Julia Rae Stafford Davis

Mrs. Julia Rae Stafford Davis, age 90, entered into rest on Sunday, December 10, 2023 at her home. Funeral services will be 3:00 PM Wednesday, December 13, 2023 from the chapel of Miller-Rivers-Caulder Funeral Home by Reverend Michael Davis, Randall Gainey, and Brent Taylor with a service of committal to follow in the First Southern Methodist Church Cemetery in Cheraw, SC. The family will greet friends from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM prior to the service at the funeral home.

          Mrs. Davis was born February 20, 1933 in Cheraw, SC a daughter of the late Harris and Lola Rainwater Stafford. She was a retired employee of Grits and Groceries convenience store and a member of the First Southern Methodist Church in Cheraw. Julia enjoyed watching soap operas and game shows. Mrs. Davis’s favorite place to be was her front porch where she would often relax.

          In addition to her parents, Mrs. Davis was also preceded in death by her husband, Odis Davis; sisters, Sylvia Polson, Dorothy Harpe, and Malinda Stafford.

          Survivors include her children, Reverend Michael (Diane) Davis of Cheraw, SC, Anne (Nathan) Wallace of Cheraw, SC, Randy (Sarah) Boan of Cheraw, SC; grandchildren, Ashley Huggins, Will (Brittany) Boan, Gracyn (Brad) Williamson, Emily Wallace, Olivia Wallace; great-grandchildren, Destiny Johnson, Riley Huggins, Lily Huggins, Liana Williamson, Liam Williamson, Maddie Boan; brother, Richard (Margaret) Stafford of Cheraw, SC; and numerous nieces and nephews.
