DECEASED: Mrs. Julia King Hunter died Tuesday August 26, 2008 at The Stewart Health Center in Charlotte at the age of 93. She was born August 7, 1915 in Chesterfield, SC to the late Mary Etta Knight King and Henry Frank King.

Julia graduated from Zoar High School in Chesterfield, SC and Salisbury Business School in Salisbury, NC. She worked as a secretary and bookkeeper until her marriage, at which time she became a full-time wife, mother, and homemaker. Julia and her husband, Bill, moved from Clarksville, VA to the Cypress in Charlotte to be closer to their children. She was active in St. Timothy's Episcopal Church and the Garden Club in Clarksville.

In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her brother, Dewey "Foster" King, and 4 sisters, Vivian K. Adams, Bernice K. King, Lela K. Carr, and Virginia "Peggy" G. Davis.
SURVIVORS: husband of 66 years, William "Bill" L. Hunter, daughter, Judy H. Robinson of Charlotte and two sons, William "Bill" F. Hunter and wife Lynn of Mooresville, NC and Henry L. Hunter and wife Debbie, of Calhoun, GA. Five grandchildren, Natalie Smith and husband , Kevin, and Max Hunter and wife, Lisa of Snoqualmie, WA, William "Will" M. Hunter and wife, Ginney of Mooresville, NC, Elizabeth Sokol and husband, Kenny of Cornelius, NC, and Hunter Forstchen and husband, Stephen, of Apex, NC; five great grandchildren, Luke Hunter, Mia Hunter, Parker Forstchen, Katie Forstchen, and Charlie Smith;, one brother, Henry "Frank" King of Salisbury, NC, and three sisters, Sue Lee Harmon, Helen (Dr. Jerry) Perry, and Johnnie Long all of Chesterfield, SC.

SERVICES: A Memorial Service will be held at Miller-Rivers-Caulder Funeral Home Chapel, Chesterfield, SC on Thursday, August 28, 2008 at 12:00 P.M. The family will receive friends immediately following the service.

MEMORIALS: May be made to Hospice of Charlotte, 1420 East 7th Street, Charlotte, NC 28204, or to a charity of your choice.
